Nautical Nuptials in the Low Country is a Charleston sailboat elopement inspired editorial designed and executed by Savannah of The Shindig Co. and myself, our vision for the day was to bring stylish inspiration that was sophisticated yet relaxed in one of the Southeast’s most charming cities, Charleston. We wanted to create a non-predictable design that brought a fresh take on oceanside celebrations yet still honor the coastal feel. Having a love for art and nature we used that to pull inspiration for intentional details that came together to create an ethereal and organic elopement editorial.

Nora and Justin portrayed getting ready moments together, foregoing tradition and spending time with each other before their ceremony and vows were exchanged. A beautiful exchange for couples who value incorporating more real moments alongside one another on their wedding day. Our florals were a flawless blend of lush garden blooms and costal marshy grasses, by bringing in the natural vegetation we created a subtle nod to the beautiful low country. This design was full of captivating texture with the marshy grasses as well as a mixture of luxury and seasonal blooms… The delicate grasses were subtle shades of umber, while the pastel blooms brought in the perfect amount of liveliness. The flat-lays of the day were adorned with tailored details such as handmade jewelry, hand-painted shoes and a beautifully custom water painted invitation suite. We were thrilled to add a Navy Bella Rosa Collection clutch to our details of the day. A premium line of bespoke, custom bridal and evening clutches and handbags that preserves Italian luxury in a small-batch, sustainable fashion. Maria Caruso Martin, founder and creative director is renowned for her signature sophisticated, classic aesthetics which was the perfect additive to this editorial.
